After some deliberation I’ve decided to make the epic journey north to Chiang Mai.
I’ll be catching the ferry from Ko Tao at 2pm tomorrow and arriving in Bangkok at 5am. From there it’s an epic 12 hour bus journey north.
So lots of R&R today in preparation. I’ll mainly be in this position.
This is a basic outline of the journey, though this time it is in one go…

It would be interesting to find out what it was like in Ko Tao as the Super Typhoon hit the area. I know that it missed you but the storm was so big, it probably had a much wider impact.
